Take 26 photojournalism students, ten professionals and two professors into a rural Georgia county for 50 hours and then wait. What happens is a lot of learning and a lot of images.

Students in UGA’s Documentary Photojournalism course spent March 23-25 telling the story of Greene County, Georgia, at the 13th Annual Woodall Weekend Workshop. Joined by seven students from the University of South Carolina, the students worked on in-depth stories and single images that tell the story of a county, from the businesses to the farms to the historic sites.

These are some of the singles from the weekend.
