The UGA College Republicans are making sure they have a huge impact on this presidential election as they campaign for Mitt Romney.  They are traveling to swing states where they have already knocked on 17,000 doors. The College Republicans say they are on track to knock on 60,000 in total before the election.  

Jamie Hood, the man accused of killing Athens cop, Buddy Christian, took the stand once again today.  Judge Sweat granted the motion to continue.  Since this case has already been delayed several times, he only gave the defense 4 days. The hearing is reset to this Friday at 10 am.  

Don’t think prisoners can vote? Think again!  In the state of Georgia, prisoners can vote from behind bars as long as they have not been convicted of a felony.  Voting is done by absentee ballot and mailed or faxed to the Board of Elections office.
