UPDATED: UGA Students Paying Extra (For Eight Years)

ATHENS, Ga.– The biggest fee University of Georgia students pay: $450. It’s one of several additional fees students must pay, but the money from this one does not have a clear cut destination. The $450 fee is known as the “Special Institutional Fee”. But it’s not the only additional fee students pay. Other additional fees include: athletic, transportation, health center, recreation facility, and several others. Maternity Leave Discussion, Pushed to Next Year

A Parental Leave Proposal was on the agenda for the last UGA Faculty Human Resources Committee Meeting this afternoon. However, Brenda Keen, Chair of UGA Human Resources said that they ran out of time during the meeting and that the proposal has been put off until next year. The proposal was passed in November of 2014, so why was it supposed to be discussed again today? The proposal has not yet been accepted by the Board of Regents. Undocumented students lose petition to highest court in Georgia
