Extra Special People celebrates 10th anniversary of Big Hearts Pageant

Extra Special People’s Big Hearts Pageant raised funds for its many programs and gave kids with disabilities the opportunity to shine onstage on Feb. 11. More than 2000 people sold out the Classic Center to watch participants show off talents like flag-twirling, guitar-playing, and dancing. Big Hearts is one of ESP’s three biggest events of the year. HUGE College Fair Tonight

High school students around Athens will have the chance answer any questions they’ve ever had about college.The Athens Probe College Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 14 from 6:00-8:00pm, with more than 75 colleges represented. This event is coordinated annually by the University of Georgia Office of Admissions. According to their website, Probe’s ultimate mission is to “disseminate information and stimulate interest in post-secondary education for students in GA.” The fair is free admission and all parents and students are invited to attend. UGA’s Spotlight On the Arts Festival

Plays, concerts, dancing and more. UGA’s Spotlight On the Arts festival is underway. The purpose of the festival is to display the art programs and offerings here at UGA. These events include anything from art exhibits to dance performances. Blue Man Group is performing tomorrow and Wednesday and Bela Fleck and the Marcus Roberts Trio will perfom this Friday at the Classic Center.
