UPDATED:Two Dead in Barrow County Plane Crash

UPDATE: 2/17/7 2:28PM Shannon Ewing of Gwinnett County and nephew Henry Ewing of Jones County are the two victims of Thursday’s fatal plane crash, Captain Ryan Sears of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Department confirms. Their ages have not been released. Terry Williams, the media contact for the National Transportation Safety Board, says the investigation is still in the fact-gathering stage. They are still identifying the cause of the crash, the intended path of the plane, and any possible witnesses of the incident, Williams says. The initial report should be available in a week. Post Election Stress

While some UGA students are joining other groups across the country in protest, there’s one thing they aren’t doing. They aren’t seeking university counseling like students at some other schools. Kristine Groft, a Public Relations Coordinator for the the University of Georgia Health Center, said Thursday that the Center has yet to have students request counseling after the election. As of 10:15 Thursday morning, the wait time in line at the Athens Board of Elections was about 20 minutes – but the line keeps growing as the morning goes on. Grady hosts dedication to the Peyton Anderson Forum

By Jordynn Abernathy Grady College held a dedication to the new lobby area called the Peyton Anderson forum, named afterformer Grady graduate Peyton Anderson. Anderson was a publisher at The Macon Telegraph and The Macon News, among his many other accomplishments. Tom Johnson, who was mentored by the late Anderson, says it means the world to him to be able to provide students with the opportunities he’s had.  Tom Johnson and his wife Edwina Johnson are contributors to the Peyton Anderson Scholarships to help journalists have the chance to study at Grady College….

It’s been a dramatic season for the Dawgs so far, but if you’re one of the tens of thousands of fans worried about the injury list, take a breath.
