Athens, Ga.— An alert system at Ohio State University alerted students just minutes after the initial call to the emergency dispatch center of the school attack. The University of Georgia also has its own alert system in case of emergencies like the one that occurred yesterday at Ohio State. Fifty Years of FoxFire

ATHENS, Ga.– The University of Georgia Special Collections Library will be holding an exhibit beginning tonight for an iconic magazine’s 50th anniversary. Foxfire magazine began in 1966 in Rayburn County, Georgia as a school project. The teacher’s idea was to get students more interested and involved in learning journalism through hands on experience. “The students interviewed and photographed their grandmothers, grandfathers, parents and other community members,” says Foxfire exhibit co-curator Dixie Gallups. Early Voting Booth To Open At Tate Student Center

ATHENS, Ga– A new agreement between UGA’s Student Government Association and Athens’ Board of Elections will allow students to cast their ballots on campus. Any student living in Athens will be able to choose between voting in Athens-Clarke County or with an absentee ballot from their home town.
