Zelma Griffith pulls thread through a rag rug, connecting the strips of old sheets she has braided into a circular pattern. Griffith learned not rushing to complete a rag rug is important to the quality of the finished product. “I make sure I take my time with the stitching and all because people wanna turn it over, look at it, see what the backside look like.
