Sports Update for October 21, 2014

Athens, GA – Foley field construction is expected to be complete by January for the 2015 season. The project cost $12 million and the field hasn’t had any major remodeling in the last 25 years. Foley field renovation started in the middle of June. There will be new locker rooms, new meeting rooms, a new concourse, new restrooms, club level seating for fans, new concession stands and batting cages. The current stadium is 25 years old and has not had any major upgrades since its construction. The season begins on February 13.
