5 Ways to Get Your Fall On in Downtown Athens

With all of this Georgia heat following us into October, it may not feel like the first day of fall. However, Grady Newsource Reporter hunted down festive ways to get you in the spirit for the new season. Here are five different ways to get your fall on in Downtown Athens.

1.) Starbucks on College Ave.

You can find all things pumpkin, from coffees, cookies, and scones, at the Starbucks on the corner of college avenue in downtown Athens. They even released three fall favored beverages, including Pumpkin Spice Latte, Salted Carmel Mocha, and a new Chile Mocha.

2.) Zombie Coffee and Donuts

At Zombie Coffee and Donuts on Broad Street in Athens they released a healthy fall treat called Gingerbread Bites. People can still get there fall on, while staying vegan and gluten-free. (shhh! the owner also shared a secret with Grady Newsource. He is working on a recipe for new pumpkin donuts).

3.) Cilles Clothing

It is never to early to start planning your Halloween costume! At Cillies Clothing on Clayton street in Athens you will be sure to find a unique outfit. The store buys used clothing items and sells them, so you can piece together something creative for all of those Halloween parties coming up.

4.) Ben and Jerry’s

Haven’t had enough pumpkin yet? Not to worry because at the Ben and Jerry’s on College Avenue you can take home a whole tub of the Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream to fill those fall cravings.

5.) Jittery Joe’s Coffee

At the Jittery Joe’s on Broad Street in Athens they have many fall treats made fresh daily, including a sweet potato cake. Of course, you always have the option of washing it down with the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Now, go get your fall on Athens, what are you waiting for. Happy first day of Fall!
