UGA Smoke Protest

Athens, GA -UGA Smoking Prohibition Protest took place today in Tate Plaza. The Arch Conservative Magazine got 200 signatures for a petition to prevent the ban of tobacco on campus rule going into effect tomorrow. The group of students relaxed in chairs and smoked away. The Board of Regents voted last year to ban cigarettes, e-cigarettes, pipes, and any other tobacco product from being used anywhere on campus. They want to protect students from second hand smoke. Justin Fedich talked to editor in chief, John Henry Thompson, on why he is fighting for the cause when he is not even a smoker himself.
