Five Things You Need To Know October 27, 2014

Athens, GA – The University of Georgia could pass a new policy that will have a major effect for UGA students. Students will now have the opportunity for unlimited withdrawals and will be able to withdrawal from a class regardless of their standing in the class. There would no longer be an option for “WF” (withdrawal fail).

 

Athens, GA – In August, Athens Link Fellowship Church bought Fantasy World (on Baxter Street). They want to expand the church which is currently holding services in a house on South Lumpkin Street.

 

Athens, GA – Three WWII bomber planes will be on display for viewing at Athens-Ben Epps airport this week. Visitors can tour the restored aircraft and can even fly in the plans for $450 for 30 minutes. Walk through tours are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. They’ll be flying in today at noon and on display today until 4:30 pm. Tomorrow they will be on display from 9am-4:30pm and again on Wednesday from 9am-noon.

 

Athens, GA – The Hart County Bulldogs continue a perfect season and are now 8-0. after playing the Oconee County Warriors, who are now 7-1 this weekend. Both teams went into the match up undefeated. The Bulldogs took home the victory with a 49-21 win over the Warriors.
