Crunch Time in High School Football

It is Week 10 of the high school football season and things are heating up as the weather is cooling down. Region titles are now ready to be claimed. In Region 8, 3-AAA, the Jefferson Dragons and Hart County face-off in a  winner-take-all for the region reign. Hart County will have the home field advantage as they are the host to the Dragons. Both teams are undefeated thus far in the season.  Jefferson is ranked 4th in the Class triple A rankings and Hart sits at 7th.

In Region 8, 1-A, a rare occasion could occur where three teams could end the season in a 3-way tie. Commerce High School, Athens Christian, and Prince Avenue all are atop the region at the moment. Earlier in the year, Commerce lost to Prince Avenue, Prince Avenue fell to Athens Christian, and Athens Christian dropped one to Commerce. Commerce will host Lakeview Academy next.  Athens Christian hosts Hebron Christian and Prince plays Providence Christian Academy. All three teams will be at home so the possibility of a three way tie is likely.
