VA Medical Center Ramping Up Commitment to Serving Veterans

The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs works to provide better services for their patients. Disabled Veterans are deserving of only the best medical care, but it doesn’t mean much if they can’t get there. To ensure that veterans get the medical treatment they need, VA Medical Centers- like the one in Augusta- has implemented additional transportation services to get them from point A to point B. Additionally, a sub-clinic in Athens opened to better serve the needs of those in Northeast Georgia. Reporter Sierra Grady tells us how some veterans feel about the transportation service and the clinic now being closer to home at 5pm.
