Dropping Temperatures Will Chill Your Pipes

Cold temperatures could hurt more than your fingers and toes. Your pipes will be feeling a chill tonight as well.

The Abbey West General Manager says they had a hot water heater break last year because residents didn’t follow instructions to leave their faucets dripping. She says you should be proactive in scheduling repairs, because people start calling plumbers and other repair companies as soon as cold weather hits.

Jeff Lott who does maintenance for Abbey West talks about ways to prevent incurring extra costs during the winter temperatures. He suggests putting guards on your outside faucets to insulate them. But if you can’t buy those, dripping your faucets is a good old fashioned way to keep your pipes from bursting.
