Winter Weather Could Be Returning to Athens

Athens- North Georgia could be facing another round of winter weather. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for north Georgia until 1 am tomorrow. North Georgia can expect a dusting of up to 1.5  inches of snow. However, current forecasting models have Athens with only a forty percent chance of precipitation. Rain is expected to start around 8 pm, and the temperature could get low enough for that to turn to flurries. However, a one or two degree drop could change the amount of snow to expect. Rain will continue into tomorrow while temperatures will rise into the mid-forties. Tuesday’s rain will clear up by the afternoon. However, stay updated with Grady Newsource because current models show that we could experience significant snow fall on Wednesday.  Tune in tonight at five to get the full five day forecast.
