Lady Dawgs Face Volunteers at Home Tonight

D7Erika Ford

Senior Erika Ford will play her last home game tonight for the Lady Dawgs.

Athens – The Lady Bulldogs will face the number 6 ranked Tennessee Volunteers who only have one loss tonight under the lights of Stegman Stadium. The Lady Dawgs have struggled recently with a seven game losing streak for only the fourth time in UGA history. Head Coach Andy Landers is hoping to stop the rolling Vols and end the losing streak tonight.

“We’re continuing to work on combinations of line-up pieces, trying to patch up some things that have some holes in it,” said Landers.

It’s seniors’ Krista Donald and Erika Ford’s last night in Athens with the Lady Dawgs and their accomplishments have imprinted a lasting mark on Coach Landers.

Landers said he is so grateful for all that the seniors have contributed to the team. “They’re just so terrific… we’re so appreciative of everything they’ve done for Georgia basketball.”

The game between the Dawgs and Vols tips off tonight at 9pm ET.
