Religious Freedom Bill

ATLANTA —The most controversial bill of the legislative session sits in a House Committee, untouched since it passed in the Senate two weeks ago. Tonight we find out it’s fate when Georgia Legislator’s decided whether the bill will make it to the floor or be tabled until next year.

Supporters of the bill say they won’t give up, even though a similar bill has faced much controversy in Indiana.

The bill’s aim is to allow people to express their religions without fear of Government interference. LGBT and minority groups are in strong opposition, worried that this bill will provide justification for businesses to legally discriminate.
