YMCA Works to Keep Kids Warm

By Sam Lack

Colder temperatures are approaching, which means it’s time to start bundling up. For the first time, the Athens YMCA is hosting a youth coat drive. The drive starts today and continues through Saturday, Oct. 3. Community members can drop off gently used or new coats for kids ages 3-17 in a bin located in the YMCA front lobby. Those in need will be able to pick up the donated coats on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 6-8pm.

To learn more about the coat drive or sign up as a volunteer, contact Membership Director Jacqueline Shirley at jacqueline@athensymca.org.
