Stories to Watch: Oct. 8

– UGA will be playing its second away game on Saturday at Tennessee with the football season almost halfway over. Sports reporter Damian Reynolds says crowd noise will be a factor, but so will the song “Rocky Top.”

– One Northeast Georgia non-profit organization is helping adults with special disabilities interact more with the community. Hope Haven works to connect these adults with jobs and other various activities within the community. Newsource reporter Mary Grace Shaw spoke with one of the adults with special disabilities about their experiences with Hope Haven.

– The Athens-Clarke County Board of Commissioners voted last night to postpone its decision to allow food trucks in downtown Athens. The new regulations will be reevaluated at the November meeting, in an effort to better inform the public. Reporter Rayleigh Rozier has spoken to a food truck owner to get his take on the matter.
