Last night, the UGA Bulldog football team and head coach Mark Richt welcomed students out to “Tailgate with the Team”. The event was advertised as a pep rally for the UGA vs. Kentucky game this weekend. Students were surprised when a curtain onstage fell to reveal Jason Aldean and his band. Aldean performed a short concert for fans which was streamed live on his official website.
The country star also announced we would be playing a concert, the first concert ever, in Sanford Stadium on April 13, 2013. Joining him at this show will be artists Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, and Thomas Rhett. Tickets will go on sale November 2, 2012. Reporters Mamie Shepard, Matt Clark, and Mike Reiter were on the scene to cover the event.
