Business as Usual for ACC Board of Education

Athena, Ga-

Charles Worthy, Board of Education President, says that the Board of Education will handle the departures of three members accordingly. “It’s life, it happens all the time.” None of the departures come as a surprise, but President Worthy comments that he hates to see him [Lanoue] go.

The Board will open up applications for Carl Parks of District 4 and David Huff of District 8 in March and April. A national search forum to replace Superintendent Phil Lanoue is in progress.

All three members will complete their term–  Parks and Huff in December 2016 and Superintendent May of 2016 before leaving to Fulton County.

According to Worthy, the Board remains in high spirit and business shall continue as usual.
