UGA Alarm Yields No Trace of Fire

There is not always fire. University of Georgia police responded to a smoke detector alarm on Sanford Drive Wednesday afternoon, but found no fire.

Melissa Jackson of the University of Georgia’s communications department told Grady Newsource that the exhaust from a generator triggered the alarm, but did not elicit any flames. The alert was handled and business on campus returned to normal.
