UGA Ecology Student’s Film accepted into Savannah Film Festival

A UGA ecology student’s short fim has been accepted into the “Beneath the Waves Film Festival” in Savannah. The festival focuses on documentaries related to marine science issues. Virginia Schutte’s film “Improving Mangrove Management to protect the Oceans Tropical Nurseries” focuses on protecting and restoring underwater root systems of mangrove forests in the tropics. Her film was also a finalist in the “National Science Foundation’s Creating the Future Video Contest.”
