Monsignor Donovan Students to State Competition

Two students from The Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School are heading to Darton College to bring home a big trophy–and even bigger bragging rights.

Seniors Emily Burns and Jacob Price won this trophy last Thursday at Regionals. But they’re not stopping there.

Burns said, “We’re seniors. So it’s our last time that we get to perform. So we are really, really hoping for state, or for winning state, or even placing. We are really, really out for blood this year.”

They’ll compete in the One Act State Competition in Albany this Wednesday– bringing their Ram spirit with them.

Price explained, “At Monsignor Donavon, everybody’s kind of looked at as we’re a family. Support kind of runs through the walls I guess you could say.”

They took third place in last year’s competition. If they are successful on Wednesday– it will be the school’s first State Competition win.
