UGA Online Masters in Education Tops National Rankings

The University of Georgia’s offers one of the best online Masters program in the state and nation according to a recent survey by U.S. News and World Report’s.

Dr. Craig Kennedy, Dean of Education describes the online program as “an opportunity for UGA undergraduates to obtain a graduate degree while continuing to work full time.”

Dr. Janet Truluck, Coordinator of Online Adult Education helped launched the online program. She says she attributes the success of the program to its accessibility and high standards associated with traditional UGA Masters programs.

Graduate Assistant and current student of the online education program, Doug Saylor says “despite a lack of human interaction, the online program is very inspiring because students are required to post commentary on their assigned discussions. It’s challenging because you want to sound intelligent in your posts and responses knowing others are going to respond to you.”
