Bizarre Weather Flip in Athens

Athens, GA-

Monday’s weather was unusually balmy and sunny. People were in shorts. Today… not the case.

By noon, there were snow flurries. By 5:00 PM, the temperature had dropped to the 20s.

Many k-12 schools were cancelled throughout the morning in anticipation, while UGA cancelled school by 3:30.

The snow is predicted to last through the night, but temperatures will continue to drop.

So snow lovers, rejoice! This snow fall will stick to the ground for a day or two. a1280by1024
