Athens, GA- Bike lights could save your life this winter! Local groups are teaming up to add a light to bikes this season. The three groups teaming up are Bike Athens, Complete the Street: Prince Avenue, and the Downtown Athens Business Association. Their goal is to bring awareness to bike safety.

It is the law as a bike rider to always wear a helmet and to have a white light on your bike. Bike Athens Executive Director says that most bike accidents happen at night. He also said that sometimes it’s hard for bikers to ride bikes because of the lack of bike lanes throughout Athens. Reporter Jordan Lee hops on a bike to show you the dangers of riding and what you can do to stay safe.
