College Football Recruits Respond to Twitter Controversy

The University of Georgia’s 2018 football recruitment class includes athletes like five-star quarterback Justin Fields and the nation’s number one running back Zamir White.

Georgia’s 2018 football recruiting class is ranked fifth in nation according to 247-sports. However, earlier this week, UGA lost four-star defender Caleb Tannor from its 2018 class.

High school athletes frequently use online social media sites like Twitter to announce their commitment, and sometimes decommittments, to a school’s athletic program. This opens up these high school athletes to fan reaction, both positive and negative, when posting online.

The University of Georgia has seventeen total commits in its 2018 class. The Bulldogs also already have seven committed to its 2019 class.
