Plans for two downtown construction projects will be discussed today at the Athens-Clarke County plans review meetings: The Hyatt Place Hotel and Press Place North Deck. Departments in the local unified government will talk about plans for site construction and renovations projects on the agenda for today.
This is the permitting process where all reviewing departments and the Clarke County Health Department look over plans for approval. Building permits will be issued after all departments have okayed the project plans.
The meetings today will be held at the Dougherty Street Governmental Building at 120 W Dougherty St, Athens, Ga. Here are the meeting times for the Hyatt Place Hotel and Press Place North Deck along with the planned locations for these two projects:
The Hyatt Place Hotel, 1:30 p.m.
Construction Location: 412 North Thomas Street, Athens, Ga
Press Place North Deck, 3:00 p.m.
Construction Location: 1 Press Place, Athens, Ga
This is only step four in the process, and the next step will involve Athens-Clarke County staff who will possibly make revisions and clarifications to the plans.
