Georgia Beats Florida to Take Control of SEC East

After being labeled “soft” by a member of their own unit, the Georgia defense responded with one of their best games of the year and carried the team to a 17-9 victory over Florida to take control of the SEC East.

Outside linebacker Jarvis Jones led the way with a performance that will go down in record backs. He recorded 13 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and 2 forced fumbles.

Players and coaches reacted to the game that put themselves in the driver seat in the SEC East race. The Bulldogs will need to beat Ole Miss this weekend and Ole Miss the following to clinch a berth in Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.
