ATHENS, Ga — The Georgia Bulldogs put up more than 40 points for the fourth straight game as they defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 48-3 to move to 4-0 (2-0 SEC) on the season.
Quarterback Aaron Murray started the game completing 12 straight passes. He finished the night with 250 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. He also added a score on the ground.
Freshman running backs also continued to impress. Todd Gurley rushed for more than 100 yards for the third time in four games. He finished with 130 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Keith Marshall also added 82 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.
The defense also contributed to the blowout holding the Commodores offense to three points. After struggling to get off the field on third downs last weekend against Florida Atlantic, the defense held Vanderbilt to 2-for-14 on third down conversions.
