Goodbye Snow

ATHENS, GA- The sun is shining and the snow is melting. With temperatures currently around 45 degrees, the snow and ice are starting to clear out. If you are driving today, beware of side streets and shaded areas that may still be covered in ice.

The low tonight will be around 27 degrees. These below freezing temperatures may cause water that is still on the streets to freeze and form dangerous black ice. Use extreme caution when driving tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow we will see mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s. There will be a 50% chance of rain after 7 PM, so don’t forget your umbrella! No hazardous weather is expected throughout the weekend and into next week, so we have most likely seen the last of the snow for this time around.
