Three Athens Private Schools Headed To Playoffs

Athens Christian, Athens Academy, and Prince Avenue are in the first round of high school football playoffs. Prince Avenue has a bye-week this week, but both Athens Christian and Athens Academy are hosting the first round.

Athens Academy hosts Savannah County Day on Friday night. Athens Academy is coming off a 28-0 loss to Prince Avenue. The game on Friday begins at 7:30 p.m.

Athens Christian plays Mt. Pisgah on Friday night. Athens Christian is on a four-game winning streak coming off of a big win last week against Hebron Christian Academy.

Prince Avenue will play the winner of Athens Christian and Mt. Pisgah on November 18. You may remember that Prince Avenue and Athens Christian played earlier in September. Prince Avenue fought hard in overtime for a 7-0 win over Athens Christian. Athens Christian is looking for redemption if it makes it past the first round.

Both games are at 7:30 p.m. at Athens Christian and Athens Academy.
