UGA Sports Teams will be hard at work now and over the university’s spring break.
UGA’s Baseball team finished its two game series against Charleston Southern last night, taking the win with a 5-3 series sweep. The Bulldogs will play tomorrow for their three game weekend series against Mercer.
Men’s Basketball will play against South Carolina night and wrap up their regular season against Alabama on Saturday. Men and Women’s Tennis will play Mississippi State and Ole Miss tomorrow afternoon.
The National Equestrian Rider of the month is Bailey Anderson. Anderson and Liza Fineness earned SEC Riders of the Week Honors. Both players will lead their team against New Mexico State this Saturday.
It’s Herschel Walker’s 54th birthday, today. The 1982 Heisman trophy winner was inducted into the hall of fame in 1999. To this day, he holds the SEC for average yards per game.
HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS
Clarke Central High School’s Soccer team has an undefeated run against Apalachee last night. Victor Silva scored the game winning goal last night in a 2-1 victory. The team will play next weekend in the Georgia Tournament to Champions.
