Madison County shooting safety class

MADISON CO, Ga- Automatics, semi-automatics, and handguns. Who’s carrying these weapons? The women of Madison county. Women who work or live in Madison County can sign up for shooting safety classes offered through the Sheriff’s office. The sheriff originally offered a class for men as well but not enough people signed up. The women’s class however, fills up quickly. The number of women attending the class varies depending on the day it’s offered, with weekends bringing in the most attendees. One woman says, “I live alone,” so she takes the shooting safety class to stay safe. Seven women attended the class held last Thursday and Friday. Reporter Ally Laukhuf will have an update on these brave women and Madison County’s safety program coming up.
