A Day in the Life of a Madison County Jailer

Athens, GA – 11 years… That’s how long one woman has served as a jailer in Madison County…. longer than anyone else. From the outside looking in her job is to keep inmates in order, but SHE says her job is about making a difference in people’s lives, and sometimes, maybe even saving them. Reporter Ashley Jetton walked through the doors with Sergeant Gussler…And got to see what life is like on the inside.
