It’s Mardi Gras in Oconee County

OCONEE COUNTY, GA –  Earlier today, the Oconee County library threw a Mardi Gras party for students in second to fifth grade.

Kids made hats, masks— and wore beads as they celebrated learning about Mardi Gras. They also sat and learned about the history of Mardi Gras. Children specialist at the Library— Jessie Johnson taught the lesson and said she thinks the kids learned a lot.

Mardi Gras officially starts tomorrow, and while kids wont get to celebrate in New Orleans, they can still have fun at other events at the Library
