Hundreds of Students Compete in Science and Engineering Fair

More than seven hundred students from local middle and high schools will compete for scholarships and prizes at the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair.  Sarah James is a seventh grader at Clark Middle School who has entered a test on beam and arch durablity as her project. She says that while she has had fun, the project did end up causing her some pain.

The fair is scheduled to begin at 1 PM and end at 3 PM this Saturday inside of the Classic Center’s Exhibition Hall. The students will be available for questions about their projects. The event is sponsored by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach.
