Pedro Alvarado, 43, has been charged with aggravated assault and battery in relation to the Sept. 20 assault of a 19-year-old female UGA student who was walking on the Greenway when she was grabbed from behind. No bond has been posted yet.
The student only suffered minor injuries from the attack.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department found Alvarado on Sept. 29 after investigators received several calls from citizens. ACCPD released this sketch drawn by a Georgia Bureau of Investigation forensic artist to the public in order to help locate the attacker.
