Bear Creek Reservoir Is Now Full

Despite the drought conditions in the state of Georgia, the Upper Oconee Water Management Authority reports that the Bear Creek Regional Reservoir is 97% full.

According to Program Manager Brad Lanning, use of the resevoir has averaged 11.4 million gallons per day over the last 9 weeks, compared to 9.6 million gallons a day in the same period last year. Even so, the Upper Oconee Basin Water Authority is confident in the Bear Creek Reservoir’s performance, with a capacity of up to 21 million gallons per day.
