Athens Library Asks for Donations for Bling Your Prom Event

The Athens Regional Library is looking for donations for local teens who want to go to their prom. The Library is hosting its first ever “Bling Your Prom” event. It is collecting gently used and clean donations of prom outfits and accessories.

You can donate items such as prom or bridesmaid dresses, suits, ties, jewelry, shoes, and new or unused cosmetics. The teens will be allowed to pick out one prom outfit and some accessories. This will be based on a first come first serve basis.

The Library is particularly looking for larger sizes of women’s dresses and men’s shoes. You can donate items to the library for this event until Monday, February 26.

“Bling Your Prom” is scheduled for Saturday, March 3 from 10a.m. to 2p.m.
