Vidmanova Embraces Global Spotlight, Final UGA Season

Dasha Vidmanova is no stranger to the spotlight.

Growing up in the Czech Republic, the Georgia women’s tennis star played in many big events, including Junior Grand Slams, like Wimbledon and the Australian Open.

Her ability to shine on the big stage was evident early on with the Bulldogs. Georgia head coach Drake Bernstein called Vidmanova the “most driven to win” athlete he has ever seen, saying she “doesn’t really take no for an answer.”

In what will be her final season playing in Athens, Vidmanova is trying to cherish every moment on the court and with her team, one of which will occur when she continues competition in the ITF Hilton Head W35.
