Barrow County budget meeting brings changes

Winder, GA – Property taxes will be going down this year for Barrow County residents. The county commission decided in a meeting last night to take in $173,000 less in property taxes compared to last year during the commission meeting on September 23. The county is also forgoing capital investments for the year in order to provide a five-percent increase in cost of living salaries for Barrow County employees.
