Madison County, GA- Madison County Jail plans to get relief from a problem that’s felt nationally… overcrowding. This local jail is awaiting new beds, in hopes that this will make life easier for the jail’s employees. A Madison County Jail Sargeant says the overcrowding makes it hard to manage the inmates, as there isn’t enough room for all of them. These beds are expected early next year, but until then they will carry on with no changes. Reporter Ally Laukhuf goes behind the bars to see just how crowded the jail currently is.
