By: Lana Harris

Have you ever thought about what it’s like to be on death row? We spoke with UGA sociology professor Todd Krohn to find out.

The Georgia Department of Corrections plans to execute convicted murderer Kelly Gissendaner on Sept. 29, 2015. Commissioner Homer Bryson chose this date between Sept. 29 – Oct. 6 designated by the Gwinnett County Superior Court.

Gissendaner’s execution date was postponed in March for an analysis on the drugs used for the execution process. She was charged in 1998 for the murder of her husband.
