Hurricane Florence Affects Week 3 of College Football

Hurricane Florence has caused some week three College Football games to be relocated or canceled. As the Category 3 storm bears down on Virginia and the Carolinas, several university athletic departments and football teams took to Twitter to announce cancelations to fans.

University of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said that he does not think the weather will impact UGA’s home game against Middle Tennessee State University.

The University of North Carolina canceled its match up against the University of Central Florida. The two teams are discussing whether or not they will reschedule the game. East Carolina University announced that it will not travel to Virginia Tech for this weekend’s game. North Carolina State University’s game against West Virginia University was also canceled.
