Law Enforcement Officers Take On Shooting Range in Oconee County

OCONEE COUNTY, GA – The Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors wants officers to become better instructors for their agencies. Grady Newsource reporter Kendall Trammell took a look at how they train.
Today 13 men are at a range doing shotgun training. It’s an exchange of information and ideas.
“There is a difference between of educators and trainers,” firearms instructor Erik Lund said. “There’s theory. And there’s practice.”
That’s why these officers are out on the range today — to learn how to better train their agencies on how to react during real-life, stressful situations. The training started yesterday and wraps up tomorrow.
