Robocall Accuses Carter of Cutting HOPE Scholarship

Above is a recording of the Robocall.

GA–The fallout continues following a robocall regarding the HOPE Scholarship that was made this past weekend to voters all throughout Georgia. The call said that Jason Carter plans to “eliminate the Hope Scholarship for thousands of middle class families.” A statement issued by Carter’s campaign manager, Matt McGrath, called it a lie. He says that Governor Deal has already cut HOPE recipients by 80,000. Carter Says he wants to limit eligibility for families making an income of $140,000 or less, but Deal says that that cap is going to have to be a lot lower to compensate for Carter’s spending promises.
