Athens, GA – Former UGA basketball player, Terrell Bell, has been named the new boys basketball head coach for Monsignor Donovan High School. Bell is very familiar with the Athens area. He graduated from Cedar Shoals high school. Bell then played for the Georgia Bulldogs basketball team from 1993 to 1996. He was picked up by the Houston Rockets in the second round of the 1996 NBA draft. Sports reporter, Joey Ripley, is sitting down with the new coach today talking about his new role.

Athens, GA – Head Coach Mark Richt announced that the Georgia Bulldogs have parted ways with Junior cornerback Sheldon Dawson. Richt made the surprise announcement to the media after practice yesterday evening. He would not go into the circumstances of Dawson’s departure. Reporter Loni Gibson is at the press conference with Richt today to get more information.

Toccoa, GA – North Oconee and Madison County High schools softball teams are headed to Stephens County today for the region tournament. Going into the tournament, the Madison County Red Raiders are the team to beat with an undefeated region record. Games begin at 5pm.
