Zelma Griffith begins constructing a new rag rug on Oct. 3, 2018 at her home in Athens, Ga. Griffith has always been interested in crafting and has created several different products before focusing on rag rugs. “I come up with these ideas, I think about it, I study it out in my mind whether it's me sketching something on paper or even just making it by hand. I study it first in my mind and then I go to creating it, whether it's on paper or either by hand. I got a lot of stuff that I created before Greg gave me this idea. I just got stuff,” said Griffth.
